NOHA KONĚ
CHODIDLO
Chodidlo
je konkávně vyklenuté a velmi stabilní. Správně tvarované chodidlo se
nedotýká země. Takzvaná "bílá čára", která chodidlo obkružuje, označuje
místo, kde začíná vlastní stěna kopyta.
STŘELKA
Ve
výši patky je kopytní stěna kopyta ohnuta dovnitř. Tam začíná střelka s
rohovým střelem. Když kůň došlápne svou nohou na zem, má střelka
kontakt se zemí. Nárazová vlna, která vzniká dopadem koňské nohy na
zem, je částečně zachycena pružností střelky. Také při hmatových
vjemech koně hraje střelka důležitou roli. Díky ní může kůň cítit půdu,
na kterou postaví nohu, a terén, po kterém právě jde.
Z čeho se tedy skládá kopyto?
STĚNA KOPYTA
Stěna

To

laku, který chrání rohovinu před přílišnou vlhkostí a před vysušením.
Často se na ni nanášejí dodatečně i umělé laky, aby byla rohovina
chráněna ještě lépe.
BARVA KOPYTA
Odpovídá
zpravidla barvě srsti koně. Má-li kůň bílou srst, je bílé i kopyto.
Když je kůň tmavé barvy, je kopyto černé. Strakoši nebo koně, kteří
mají bílé znaky na nohou, mají kopyta zbarvena různě. U některých koní
existují dokonce i černobíle rýhovaná kopyta. Bílá rohovina je měkčí a
není tak odolná, černé kopyto je tvrdší.
KOPYTO ROSTE
Kopyto
